And the Blessings Begin!!!

The blessings have already begun to pour on us this year! God has richly blessed Manna Ministries this week by supplying a lot of the food we use in the meal program for the kids. Jen and I went to Second Harvest Gleaners to pick up an order that we were quite excited about since it had 100% orange juice offered this week along with Yogos Rollers and Quaker Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Breakfast cookies. She drove her car too since I didn't know if we'd be able to fit it all in my van. I took Logan along to help and she took Nick. We ordered 50 cases of the orange juice which will get us through about 6 weeks! Since we only pay $.16/pound, the savings were awesome!! In addition to our placed order, we always look through the shopping area. This part varies in product and quantity from week to week and is all non-refrigerated items. We found cheese cracker sandwiches, peanut butter cracker sandwiches, Pop-Tarts, Hershey Bars, Smores Bars, individual serving bags of chips, & animal crackers. I can't remember right off hand if we found anything else we use or not but we were extremely excited!! God provides continually for this ministry and we continue to operate it solely on monetary and item donations and on faith that He'll give us what we need when we need it! Below is a picture of our pantry after stocking the shelves again. The orange juice is being stored in a different spot since we ran out of room!

Be a blessing today just as you are blessed!!

Diane, Our yth.group is getting geared up for the 30 hour famine(World Vision fundraiser) again. The number of children in the world that die each day of hunger is staggering. We are so blessed to have our 3 meals and more everyday.Thank you for all your time and effort into keeping our Allendale kids from going to bed hungry.See-Ya soon,Patty
